Now, functionality is of course nowhere without sound quality, but this is precisely where Matrix Audio always convinces. AKM’s AK4493SEQ is the foundation for the digital-to-analog conversion. Guided by Matrix Audio’s own Femto Second Clock system with self-developed jitter reduction algorithms, this lays the groundwork for a super accurate and distortion-free analog signal. The analog volume control features 256 steps from -80 to +12dB, with engineers dedicating a lot of attention to perfect channel balance, even at low listening volumes. After the volume control, the music signal is amplified by a power amplifier circuit based on the famous nCore switching technology. Perhaps the best Class D amplifier technology on the market. Super efficient, high power, and ultra-low distortion figures result in a crystal-clear sound that is both nimble and solid. We are quite impressed with these models that – when you add up all the features with the sound quality, are hard to beat in this price range!
